(These beautiful and innocent little dusty feet currently walk to school from their remote village in Mityana, Uganda amongst rocks and gravel on unpaved roads.)

Most of these children don't have shoes to walk these gravel and unpaved roads. If they do have shoes they are too small, are wearing one shoe or those shoes are mismatched.

 Their clothes are tattered, patched and outsized but their hearts and smiles are pure and innocent. Some of them are oprhans....

Just like many, I am a firm believer that every child should be equipped with at least the basic tools to learn, to live, to laugh and to prosper in this World.

They asked us for simple help. I promised we would!

Our mission here at The Sole Providers Project is to ensure that each child attending this school in the remote village of Mityana, Uganda in Africa will have the basic necessities to learn. Can you help us to equip each student with basics such as shoes, school uniforms, and cemented classroom floors? What about helping them get fresher water?

With your help, we can make this belief materialize and happen in this small remote village I visited this past summer, 2017 in Uganda.

Please help me help them!

Specifically, I want(they want)to help the amazing (Makula) children in 5 ways:

o provide them with 150 pairs of shoes and 150 school uniforms

o provide them with two charcoal braziers to replace their wooden fire pit

o cement the dirt floors of their classrooms and

  paint any existing classroom walls

o provide a better water tank to store drinking water

o gift them with a few "foot"balls (soccerball)

The local village men will pour the cement, sand, stones and the Teachers will insure the proper functioning of the charcoal brazier and the new water tank. The local women will ensure that each student receives the proper sizes for their shoes and school uniform. Everyone will have fun with the 'football'!!

I struggled to hold back my tears at the conditions these precious, beautiful children are forced to endure. There are dirt floors, grass floors, rocks as chairs, no doors, a fire pit to cook their brheakfast and lunch, outdated and tattered classroom posters, limited to no books and hardly anything else! 

These amazing children asked us for simple things.

How can you not be compelled to make it better for them?

(My name is Jennifer Crisp and I am a Child Food Activist/Chef/Educator from Baltimore, Maryland. I am standing here with Sarah, one of the Makula students I met in August 2017 on a trip to Uganda. I would never have had the chance to visit these children in Uganda without the loving kindness of my dear friends Sarah, Larry, and the school overseers William and Paul, who will be managing this amazing"Makula"project.)No donation is too small...any donation is big! Step by step we can help make their dreams come true! I will be returning to this village in Uganda in 2024 to hand deliver all the shoes and supplies that these amazing children need.... Weebale!!
