The smiling earth fund

We believe everyone should have access to a toothbrush! I'm raising money to benefit Jess' Kind Little Smiles Inc. Over the past year we have handed out over 5,000 dental kits and we hope to keep going to reach 10,000 by the end of the year! Our new initiative, The smiling earth fund, is looking for support to purchase ecofriendly dental products to give to the people we serve.  The toothbrushes and floss are made from recycled materials like water bottles and yogurt cups! JKLSmiles is making this switch because we realized plastic dental products may end up in places like the ocean where plastic takes 500 years to break down. Every year 8 million tons of plastic products are added to our oceans.  Pivoting from plastic to zero-waste is threatening our mission because it has added difficulty. Plastic toothbrushes are easier to get, distribute, and cost far less. But we still believe in our mission and have decided to take these challenges head on! Together, we can continue to promote oral health and care for our earth.
