Therapy bills for PJ

Donation protected
As many of u know our son PJ is non verbal autistic, which comes with many challenges. In the last year we have moved away from our support system and a town and home we loved, so PJ could get the services he needs and a chance at a functioning and fulfilling life. This year has not been easy. When Covid-19 hit, we were thrust into very unfamiliar territory. The few services we had for PJ at that time were taken away and our family was thrown into a downwards spiral. Behaviors that had been gone were back, words that he had learned went away and we entered full regression.  Every day he seemed to be slipping further and further away from us and into his own world. The pain of watching your child disappear is something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. We were lost.                         Not knowing what to do or where to even begin, we started calling anywhere that had to do with therapy. It took months, but we finally found a company that was still entering homes (PJ requires in person education and therapy he can not learn through distance learning) in our area. There it was, hope; a possible light at the end of this very dark, scary depressing tunnel we were all in. Of course, as with anything related to doctors or therapy, there would be an issue of cost. Luckily they took our insurance but because this coverage was so new under our insurance plan, the deductible was high, very high.  There was no way after what we had all been through with having nothing for months that we were going to turn this company away, so we went ahead and eagerly started setting up a therapy schedule for PJ. Because of his level of autism and how far behind he was and the severe regression that had taken place we were offered six days a week of intense therapy, we were thrilled; until we saw the bills. This is why we need your help. Anything u can give or even just sharing this link to some of your friends would be greatly appreciated.  From our family to yours we want to say thank u. We know that this has been a hard year for everyone and we thank u all for your love and support. Be well and stay safe! ❤️
