The Mural Map Road Trip
Donation protected
We are two traveling muralists, Limpio and Vcksz. We have created a free public art project called, The Mural Map.
During this global pandemic, we know a lot of small and local businesses are having a hard time staying afloat. Our project uses murals to connect residents to their local businesses and to their communities.
Limpio plans to take this project to the Southwest in January 2021.
Right now he has plans to head to Albuquerque, New Mexico and Corvallis, Oregon. Currently, he has one mural site in Albuquerque, NM, and two in Corvallis, OR.
For Albuquerque, we are trying to raise funds so that Limpio can paint the new facility for a local non-profit called Crossroads of Women. It is an Albuquerque-based nonprofit organization that provides housing and therapeutic services to empower New Mexico women emerging from incarceration. CrossRoads is moving into a brand new facility in downtown Albuquerque and Limpio wants to paint these three walls at the new location. Below are his preliminary concepts for each site.

FUNDING BREAKDOWN:
$2000 to go to Albuquerque to complete these first three murals during the month of January.
The other $2000 is to fund the cost of painting in Oregon, and for his gas/living expenses.
The murals in Corvallis will be for a local cider brewery and a Latinx non-profit called Casa Latinos Unidos, that provides free or low-cost basic needs services and culturally-specific programs exclusively to the Latino and Latinx community.
To do this road trip during Covid-19 Limpio will be handling a lot of the details and designs with business owners and location owners via skype, zoom, and over the phone before coming to each location to paint. The idea is to keep as many in-person interactions to a minimum as possible during this trip.
