Mavrik will be 13 years old on April 25th, 2018 and he has been fighting a heart condition since the day he was born, HLHS. 

Hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS) is a birth defect that affects normal blood flow through the heart. As the baby develops during pregnancy, the left side of the heart does not form correctly.

Throughout his life, Mavrik has had 9 open heart surgeries, 2 stokes, has survived with only 1 lung and still continues to fight but over these past few weeks his health has seriously deteriorated. 
He has been bed ridden and stuck in the hostpital to ride out his last few days or weeks on this earth. 

We are pleading for your help to raise money so we can get Mav back home to live out his last few weeks in the place he loves most and with his family around him. 

The insurance company will only provide coverage for 16 hours of around the clock care but Mavrik NEEDS 24 hour care. 

The insurance company would rather spend millions of dollars to keep him in the hospital rather than provide him with the care necessary for him to be able to come home and live comfortably surrounded by his family and enjoy his last few weeks, which would cost considerably less.
