Hembree House Ministry Fundraiser

2 months ago, Jon'david and I were introduced to the ministry Impact Cleveland , an organization with a goal of long-term commitment to revitalizing the poorest communities in Cleveland, TN.
In 2 weeks, we will join the ministy's most effective tactic in this revitalization: "Intentional Neighboring". Middle income, ministry-minded couples and groups of singles move into the neighborhood and spread the love of Jesus to those trapped in the poverty cycle and addiction. Between then and August 3rd, we will be making the transition from Lee University's beautiful, comfy, cozy campus and into what is currently the oldest, nastiest house in Impact's target community.
Obviously, our new place is going to need a serious dose of TLC before we can move in. We are in need of volunteers and donations to get our new home cleaned up, remodeled, painted, etc. so it can truly be a home where everyone in the neighborhood can find refuge. Donations will go towards new flooring, dry wall, cabinets, appliances, windows, doors, deep cleaning on the outside of the house, etc.
We can't wait to share our home with as many people as we can. Our goal is to take care of "the least of these" as Matthew 25:35-40 calls every Christian to do. We will not only be bringing the gospel to those living around us, but joining hands with Impact's community building events such as planting community gardens, job trainings, community board meetings, financial training sessions, home repairs, and other opportunities that give those in poverty a way out. Your help and donations will give us the ability to impact 325 FAMILIES in the poorest area of Cleveland.
