The New Augusta South Vex Robotics - THE FEARLESS PHOENOBOTS - has been invited to the VEX World Championships in Louisville, KY from Sunday, April 28th through Tuesday, May 1, 2018. The three-day event is a celebration of STEM education, the year-long work of our student-led robotics team, and diversity in the high-tech field of competitive robotics . The mission of Vex IQ is to put STEM concepts to the test as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communications, and more. Our team, consisting of 4 fifth grade students, 1 fourth grade students, and 1 second grade student, will compete during the competition, with the guidance and support of their two teacher coaches.
We are seeking funds to cover materials (replacement robot brain and two controllers), and lodging/accommodations while in Louisville. Our team is grateful for the financial and emotional support that has been given to us through our school community and it is an honor to participate in robotics at this level.
Budget:
Hotel and Accommodations: $3285
Materials and robot parts: $780
We have raised monies toward our goal but need your help to complete fund raising for this trip.
