The Wiz at Brooke East Boston

Hi all! I am a first grade teacher at Brooke East Boston. We are so excited to announce that this year we will be offering students from 2nd-7th grade the opportunity to be in a musical. This will be our first musical as a school and our first musical at our new High School Auditorium!
Putting on a musical is a huge endeavor and can be costly. However, we want to provide our scholars with a professional theater experience. This means we will need to buy costumes, props, scripts, set pieces, as well as bus the students to the high school so their parents do not need to take time off of work to drive them.
Having participated in over 20 musicals myself, I know how much fun a well organized theater experience can be. I have such fond memories of rehearsals, dress rehearsals and shows with my friends, and I would love to share these experiences with my students.
Our production team is made up of myself, Alex Schroll, another first grade teacher, and Keenan Flowers, our music teacher. All three of us are dedicating our time to put on the best musical we can! Alex brings extensive dance experience and directing experience to our team. Keenan will be bringing his music to life onstage with updated versions of the songs that our kids will get to record.
