The unexpected loss of a husband and father

One of my lifelong best friends Anita lost her husband James today 9/10/2022 in a freak ATV accident. James was not only her husband, but best friend and father to their 4 children, Jayden, Tristan, Jemma and Ryker. They were highschool sweethearts and got married just shortly after highschool. James was a lifelong friend of mine as well and my children knew both him and Anita as Uncle James and Aunt Anita, they were always there for us and would help out most anyone who in need. He worked as a Corrections Officer at the Anamosa State Penitentiary and enjoyed what he did very much! He also served in the Iowa National Guard and was proud to serve his country. He was a devoted husband and father who worked very hard to support his family. He adored his wife and supported her in any way he could. He just wanted her and the children to be happy, because seeing his family happy was the most important thing to him.

The purpose behind the gofund me is to help the family with unexpected expenses. The family had things in place and is not looking for hand outs, this is just a family friend/sister(as Anita calls me) wanting to help take off some of the financial burden so the family has time to grieve and process their loss without the feeling of having to rush right back into the reality of life without their husband and dad.
