Turpin triplets journey to Recovery

On April 14th at 3:28, 3:29, and 3:30 pm our lives were forever changed. My wife and I are so happy to announce that god has blessed us with three beautiful babies to love. In the process of trying to prepare for our three bundles of joy . We were hospitalized for a few months off and on due to complications with the pregnancy and an unexpected pre term delivery. Ever since the babies made their debut extra early it has been a rollercoaster of ups and downs. We have hit a few bumps in the road being away from our home and our 6 year old little girl . Currently we are staying at the Ronald McDonald house in Durham to be near our triplets at Duke in the NICU since things tend to change so drastically. Such as, Owen our little man being diagnosed with a severe case of Nec and our little girl Andi Lace was soon to follow in her brothers footsteps. Thankfully improvements are made with Andi and as it seems we gain a few steps forward it seems we soon take a few steps back. Losing sleep at night waiting on the next phone call takes a toll on us and we seem to always be on the edge. Hoping for the best but never knowing what to expect. In that moment We hang onto every word the Doctor tells us while praying for nothing but improvements. It's not only taking a toll on us mentally but physically and emotionally as well. Meanwhile we are not the only ones going through a dramatic change we are also separated and relying on our parents for our 6 year olds care. Trying to balance bringing her here to stay as often as we can. It feels like your heart is pulled in so many different directions. We are looking at a few months longer on top of what we have already stayed before and since their birth. Due to the circumstances of being away from our home our main source of income was diminished in the middle of these trying times with no notice. We are taking steps to what it will take to pick all our pieces back up again and start over. Anything that can be donated will be appreciated. We want to have the ability to be along side of our three babies during this tough time of their life . Watching your babies suffer and not being able to take their pain away is a feeling no mother should ever have to endure. The least we can do is to be their to comfort them
Along the way. Between bills, medical treatments, and daily cost and also what it takes to bring our triplets home with all the upkeep and travel with all the extra baby necessities that they will require, absolutely anything is appreciated . Our family is everything to us and this is just a bump in the road and we know that it may take time but we will get through it together one day at a time. Thank you all so much in advance!
