Hello, my name is Stephanie and I have set this up for our dearest friend and his family - the Torres family.
On Dec 9 at 6:30 in the morning, Angel Torres was traveling to work and suffered a severe diabetic coma where he blacked out and collided with another car. The other car was carrying 2 men, both fathers and husbands, like Angel. Our prayers are with their families during this difficult time as well.
This was a tragic accident, both vehicles totaled after crossing 4 lanes of traffic and rolling into a field. Angel is in critical condition. He is suffering from broken ribs, sternum, wrists, and spinal fractures, and has undergone surgery. The doctors and nurses are working hard to get him to walk and we all pray he wont suffer paralysis.
My hope is to raise awareness of how severe diabetes can be, and those who have it can suffer badly from many side affects of it at any time. His blood sugar was so low, it caused him to go into a diabetic coma, while driving.
Angel is the loving husband of Celina Torres, and father of Aliyah, Ariel, and Angelina. He is a hard worker, honest, caring, and most loving husband and father, son and brother, and wonderful friend.
As Angel is the sole provider for his family, they need prayers most, more than anything else, but I am asking you to please find it in your heart to help them financially to cover the medical expenses and equipment and other expenses during this very difficult time. Our hearts are broken and we are lost but having faith and family will help everyone get through the days ahead.
