Welcome everyone to the Three Broomsticks fundraiser page! As you know, The Three Broomsticks was hoping to be at CoreCon 2020. Unfortunately, due to the covid-19 pandemic, the organizers of CoreCon made the decision to cancel the 2020 Con! BUT HAVE NO FEAR - CoreCon and The Broomsticks will be coming at you in 2021!
The Three Broomsticks is coming!
Every year, Fargo CoreCon has entire rooms dedicated to certain themes and fandoms. I am working to raise money to host a Three Broomsticks/Harry Potter themed room at CoreCon.
The Three Broomsticks will feature movie viewings of the Harry Potter movies and the Fantastic Beasts movies throughout the three day event - held May 27-30, 2021 in Fargo. We will have lunch/dinner food and snacks available throughout the weekend for people to eat while enjoying Harry Potter themed events in our suite.
In addition to Harry Potter themed movies, The Three Broomsticks will be hosting trivia contests each day, as well as a coloring contest for kids, and hidden puzzles throughout the convention center for people to solve for small treats and prizes.
The hosts of the room are raising money to help support the costs of the event!
The costs we are looking for support with are:
$278 to help with the cost of the first hotel room.
$692 to help with the cost of the adjoining hotel room.
$50-60 to help cover the taxes that go into the cost of the event.
$200 to aide in purchasing any door prizes for coloring contest/puzzle winners, and door prize drawing winners
$200 to support the cost of food and snacks for the event. We are hoping to get some donations from companies as well, but this will help cover any extra costs
$100 to aide in covering the cost of decorations for the event.
We are aiming to have any funding for the event raised by January 31, 2020, so that we can pay for our room at the event prior to the February 25th deadline.
The support offered would mean so much to the organizers of the The Three Broomsticks fansuite, as we are all invested in Harry Potter and creating a fun environment for people attending the convention. every person involved loves creating fun and entertaining events for people to be involved in, and any support is greatly appreciated because it gives us an opportunity to be involved in a fun event in a way that matters to us.
