We live in times of pandemics, politics, and protests that are disrupting the inner peace we all desire. There are challenging times throughout the course of life but it seems that – no matter where we turn – there is nothing but an onslaught of soul-crushing news and events.
During the course of my life I have not only sought out the teachings, principles, and methods for inner harmony but have dedicated myself to teaching Tai Chi and Taoist Philosophy to help others who are seeking peace and harmony within themselves.
I have been a practitioner and a teacher of Taoism and Tai Chi for over 50 years. Since 1977, I have owned and operated the School of Tao Chi, teaching classes in Tai Chi, Qi-Gung, Taoist Philosophy, and Meditation. In addition, I offer mentoring sessions, Taoism philosophy classes, grief counseling, and Singing Bowl Meditations. My goal is to help others achieve holistic balance of mind, body, and spirit. I seek not wealth but to help others so my students pay a modest fee or – in some cases – attend for free, their tuition subsidized by my personal funds.
As with countless businesses across America, my school has been affected by the pandemic. Due to the economic stress inflicted upon the school and myself by COVID-19, funds are dangerously low. Because of social distancing and – in some cases shutdowns I am offering online courses so that I may continue to guide, teach, mentor, and counsel people in real time. My personal funds are no longer such that I can keep the school afloat and afford the necessary upgrades to continue to serve and support.
And that is why I am seeking your help and have created this GoFundMe campaign.
I need to raise $5000 by March 31, 2021 so that I may cover past and due expenses, to continue to offer services for the next 6 months to support the school, and for the development of online classes. Specifically, the school needs to purchase upgraded video equipment, rent studio space, internet services, website support, utilities, insurance, general operating costs, and scholarships for students unable to meet the cost of classes.
For each donation level, there is a perk of a free week of the online training you’d like. It is the least we can do to thank you for helping us through this time of need.
