The Survivor's walk

Donation protected
Been a survivor of sexual violence as both as a young girl and a teenager. I struggled with so many things along the line and sexual violence. In the western world we get justice for rape and sexual violence. Unfortunately in Africa young girls are been violated everyday, In Nigeria 8-9 girls would have been raped before they reach the age of 18 Sad right....

I grew up in that society no one fights for this girls and it breaks my heart. Been a survivor myself I've been there it's a lonely place and sad place to be. I believe there's a young girl out there who deserves better. I mean a second shot and this won't happen if I sat and just enjoy my pretty life in the UK.
It suddenly occurred to me that how many young girls are out there looking for that break, searching for love in the wrong places and a shoulder to cry on, without people kissing their teeth and making funny faces just because they've been sexually abused. It's high time i speak up and out. It's high time society stop stigmatising survivors.
I have decided to be a voice for the child I once was, for the little girl who has no voice.
The survivors walk is all about offering support for young girls who are survivors and Girl empowerment.

In April 2018 I have decided to visit a small impoverished village in Osun state, Nigeria. The idea is to take this campaign to all the nooks and cranny of Africa but eh we've got to start from somewhere. We aim to educate and empower the girls against how they can look out for each other and fight against predators.
1. We will be providing a year's worth of Sanitary towels to some 40 girls in this village.

2. I will be going with a team of healthcare. professionals where we will be educating the girls about sexual health and how to maintain good sexual health and behaviour.

3. We will embark on a 10mile walk alongside some volunteers to help sensitise and distribute flyers to parents and careers on how to identify if their child is been sexually violated and how to get the necessary help.

No amount is too small or too big. I am pleading to that humane part of you let's make this dream come through. I am counting on your utmost support. Let's make a young girls dreams come through, Let's give them hope and something to look forward to.

Together we can beat sexual violence in the African Continent. I am counting on your support. Please don't let me down.
