The surgery went fine, then the wife lost her job

Hi. You may not know me, but I am Tony Vant Leven, a disabled Army vet, and as of 1-17-24, a cancer survivor. My wife, Faye, is a former Vet Tech and Former school teacher.
I was diagnosed with prostate cancer back in October of '23, and we decided to get it removed before it could spread. I arranged everything, found out since I rarely use my vacation time, I could cover most of the recovery period with my vacation time and then we'd have a couple weeks of things being really tight, but things would be okay.
Then, post surgery, they informed me I had a lifting restriction of 10 pounds for another 8 weeks from the surgery. This meant my vacation time would be less than half of the recovery time. Okay...we can do this.
Then... Thursday, 1-25-24, my wife lost her job.
We can't do this.
I still have my disability, but that's not enough to cover our bills without her job. Major vehicle repairs destroyed our savings, and now...I don't know what to do...except beg.
Without her job, our bills actually increase because she was a property manager for the people who own where we live, and our rent was part of her pay.
I'm trying to make up for all the lost income for one month. Hopefully, I don't have to turn around and try for another month, but with my medical condition, I'm already past the "surprisingly good" recovery point, and some people take up to a year to recover from this particular cancer surgery.
Then...when it rains...it pours.
Was at the gas station last week, 1-26, and as I turned to pull up to a pump, there was a weird tension in the steering, followed by a sound like a releasing spring. Pulling away, turning the other direction, it happened again. Called my mechanic and set up getting the van in on Tuesday (1-30-24). Strut had broken, and the spring had rusted through. Since they had to take off the entire front of the van, one of those "may as well do both while you're there" situations. Over a thousand dollars in just parts, then labor, but I know these guys will fix it right.
Life can stop kicking me in the teeth any day now.
So...any help...anything...is appreciated.
