The STEMinist Project

The STEMinist Project Inc., is designed to advocate and educate black women based on the equality of the sexes in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics career fields. In the United States, the black woman makes approximately 61 cents to the white male American dollar. Yet, she is still required to attain the same amount of education and jump through the same hoops, if not more. Our mission at The STEMinist Project Inc., is assisting African American women of all ages journeys with poise, boldness, and strength. Our targets will focus on the educational, professional, and social aspects of being a black woman in the scientific world. We plan to offer a unique experience and sisterhood by advocacy and education. The project is intended to dedicate the highest quality of knowledge delivered with originality, creativity, and innovation. We are geared towards the success of our sisters and assisting them in reaching their full potentials.
 
TARGETS
 
TARGET 1:  Apply Yourself Sis: The project will provide acknowledgement of free resources and upcoming opportunities. This will include possible scholarships, awards, internships, and travel opportunities. 

TARGET 2: Women Empower Woman: The project will assist African American women in the mental and social aspects of their professional journeys. 

TARGET 3:  Equity is the Basis of Humanity: The project will raise awareness in the community regarding the equality based on the sexes and race in the scientific community.​


My ultimate goal in April is to host a banquet and provide a scholarship to a undergraduate student in the STEM department. I am looking for assistance in raising money to fund the banquet, scholarship, and other events leading up to April. I would greatly appreciate any and all donations to make this come true.
