The Silent Pandemic: Fundraiser for Samaritans

This page is not to raise funds to make the documentary (its already released on YouTube), but a fundraiser for the Samaritans to coincide with the documentary’s release.

I wanted to use the release of the project as a platform to raise further awareness for the cause and raise funds with the goal of £1000.

Due to the COVID pandemic, the need for mental health organisations and their services is at an all time high!

Cases of people suffering with their mental health are rising in the UK and there needs to be a plan to ensure that mental health services can provide the support to the ever-rising demand.

This short documentary is a reflection on the effects the pandemic has had on our mental health in the North of England and explores ways we can maintain a healthy mental well-being during these still uncertain times.

Mental health organisations like the SAMARITANS are essential right now. So, I wanted to do something more than just make this documentary, but use it as a platform to help further.
