The second support trip - Scotland to Ukraine 2025

Hi, I am Brian Payne, a former soldier, a working lawyer and someone who took a truck to Ukraine last year to support our hard-pressed friends the Ukrainians.

A year on, and the war continues. Attempts to start a ceasefire have failed, and none of that is the fault of the Ukrainians. A change of President in the United States, and an increased determination from the Kremlin to continue the illegal seizure of a sovereign nation means that the people of Ukraine continue to suffer deaths, wounds, destruction of property and perpetual fear. However, I know because I have asked them, that Ukrainians value the support we can give them. So taking a vehicle to give to them, together with whatever we can source that they need, is not just a material thing - it shows that people in the UK care for them and their struggle against Putin's Orcs.

This trip is not without risk. In recent weeks, the Russians have launched hundreds of missile and drones each night and I don't doubt that they want to disrupt the flow of aid from civilian sources.
