The Rutiaga Family Needs Our Help

We are reaching out to the Shawnee Mission East community to bring awareness to a family in need of our support. As many are aware, on February 7th a terrible automobile accident occurred involving three East students. One passenger, sophomore Alex Rutiaga, sustained serious and life threatening injuries. Alex has numerous broken bones, has required several blood transfusions, and will need months of physical therapy to regain his strength and agility. His family has spent many days away from their jobs to be with Alex while he was in the hospital. The medical bills are staggering and overwhelming. Alex is now home and is recouperating. He needs constant care due to his injuries which limit even the simplist of tasks. The Rutiaga Family needs our support. Please help us show Alex that it is truly "Great To Be A Lancer"!
