If you have been with me through this before, I just want to take the opportunity to thank you ahead of time for listening again. If this is your first time hearing about me or my dreams, thank you for reading and even considering that it might be worth your time.
I am so excited to be able to compete in the Miss USA system again; this time for the title of Miss Connecticut USA!
"Why Connecticut", you ask? I am currently studying in Mystic, CT at Williams-Mystic: a research intensive program that intends to educate not only its students but the world on the environmental impacts of human interaction with the ocean. I am currently working on multiple independent research projects, as well as taking the opportunity to travel to different coasts in order to further understand this concentration.
My life has changed so much since my last pageant, but my experiences have made me feel more prepared than ever to not only compete, but to make a difference in my community. Being a Miss USA state titleholder is so much more than the opportunity to wear a crown. It is even more than the opportunity to make the people who support and love you proud. It is the chance to be a mirror for beautiful women and girls all over your area. It is the opportunity to show women in every one of our lives that they all possess the grace, intelligence, and strength to make their dreams a reality. It is not easy to be vulnerable on a stage, or even across the internet, where criticism flows freely but it was with the help of local businesses and people like you that I raised enough to cover all of my pageant related fees and aid in our community outreach project all while being in school and working.
Fees are due in total by December 2, 2017.
My goal covers:
-Pageant Fees (Approx. $1500 for ads and entry fee)
-Wardrobe (Interview, Swimsuit, Evening Gown)
-Make up and Hair (For pageant weekend)
-Travel and Lodging
-Helping fund the Community Outreach Project
Anything you can give would be greatly appreciated. The amount you give or the time you take to share my GoFundMe will never mean more to me than your support, of which I could never thank you enough for.
*It is imortant to note that GoFundMe is an amazing way to connect with all of you, but is also a business that takes a percentage of every donation. Therefore, my goal has been adjusted a little to reflect as much.
