WOW Got our first goal challenge met!!! So now we need to collect the $500 dollar matching pledge!!!
We had a goal, and pre coffee we were put half way there!
We have an amusement for you!
UPDATE: WE ARE RIGHT NOW $0 BUCKS AWAY FROM THE $500 GOAL GIVEN BY THE ANONYMOUS PLEDGE!!! We are over the line!!!
The Goal right now is to continue raising to the finish line! We are cutting like mad and we will be able to make a doc that is informative and entertaining. This city deserves our best effort to reclaim the river for the whole town and improve our environment not distress it more. Let show the country that we won't allow environmental racism, toxic dust or green washed industry to stake a claim here.
We raised enough to cover some basics for cutting some cable spots. Now we need to continue to raise money for distribution. We will contact Comcast and get current zone info. Who do you think we should advertise to? Vallejo Napa and Benicia? Maybe Crockett Martinez and Napa? We'd like your feedback.
A gift of any size from $5.00 $10.00 -100.00 to $250.00 or beyond gets us to out goals for this film.
Thank you in advance for giving!!! We can't do this with out you! We will keep printing your names with your permission.

Some one actually slipped us cash on the down low just to give. WOW ! We are grateful for everything and it helps us promote this, send out a link to friends. Email, call find your way to help us and connect us so that we can continue to push this project to the forefront because we all need a future we can live in. We are super grateful! We are also new to this still learning how to post and if you can help spread the word it helps too! Love you guys, here is more information about this project.
This film is an expose and call to action for the citzens of Vallejo to beat back corporate influence on our local politicians. We have already gone deep into this project with over approximately 20k worth of work. (My wife says twice that) ;)
We have shot interviews and aquired facts about undue influence by "gifts" and promises of a pollutor who wants to land a cement factory in a nieghborhood dominanltly populated by families of color. (Pollution sees no color!) We examine the health effects and implications for a community at war with itself over a promised 30 pieces of silver. We have presentations by scientists, ministers, people of faith and commentary on "Undue influence" as well as look geographically at a struggling community for social, economic equality and environmental justice.
The money from this point on will be spent on supporting the film makers (my wife and I) and hundreds of hours we are putting in so we can pay bills.
Enter into festivals and print material for promotion etc.
Things we need: 1 8T Thunderbolt Gdrive to help us speed the edit and hold all the media.
Entry fees for film festivals
Distribution for some traditional models DVDs, thumb drives etc. you can host a viewing party for your family and friends just let us know and we will out the media in your hands.
Very small honorariams to help us support the artists who have already given us access to free soundtrack on deffered tips to them.
(they are not asking for pay but we would like to raise enough to go beyond their expectations and give back)
We could continue to use funds immediately.
Activists have already shown interest in an on air PSAs. We can do this with much of the existing footage with fast turn around but we will need to buy airtime and if we meet and exceed our goals anything is possible!
Your support means so much, it means that you will help us to illuminate people on the need for social justice and why putting 500 trucks a day past a playground where children play and through a nieghborhood densly populated on the cancer map is a bad idea. We want a future we can all live in and the cumilative effects of pollution are already intense here. We will be forever grateful.
We are so greatful for your help and thank you in advance for helping us spread the news as pollution is a global problem now not just a local one. A win for South Vallejo is a win for the planet too!THANK YOU!
