And for years we've been planning to do a feature film, and well finally this will be our debut feature film! It's an original film about a not so stereotypical Asian guy who becomes a Rideshare Driver is forced to complete a woman's cross-country destination in order to complete and receive his much needed bonus.
“THE RIDESHARE DRIVER” is a hilarious a collision of different genres—comedy, drama, slight romance, social satire. Think Crazy Rich Asians and then the complete opposite of that mixed with Harold & Kumar go to White Castle, Dumb & Dumber, Hangover
The world of the Rideshare Driver is slightly hyperreal, over-the-top, and with constant hilarious obstacles that never seem to stop. And lets face it, if you've happened to be a rideshare driver you know there are many hilarious stories of our passengers. We drive for Lyft and Uber too so we know!
We are asking to raise the barebones development budget of $10,000. We'll starve a little, but we'll be able to get this film started in the right direction. But... the more money we raise, the less we have to drive to make the money to fund the crazy ideas we have to make this movie waaay more entertaining with car chases, famous actor cameos, and more!
So if we're able to raise past our goal to the ideal budget, we'll be able to do a lot of the things we dreamed of. We've got some big stuff in the script, so if we're able to raise enough money, you'll get to see all of it. The more we raise, the more amazing stuff we can put in the movie.
And here's the other thing: We are bringing in a diverse cast with the talent to deliver performances that deserve a wide release! So... to get into a theater near you... we need to prove that there's a real demand to see it, and not just our family and friends which is pretty big, being Asian and all, but still we need you too!
That means: the more people who contribute to help make the movie, the better our chances of getting a wide release, and coming to a theater where you can enjoy our debut feature film in it's full, cinematic splendor.
