RICHARD A. DRURY
October 24, 1951 – December 14, 2020
Richard was a cofounder and for many years a supervisor of the award-winning Leverett Transfer Station, including the Take It or Leave It, which remains an important place for sharing used goods and community spirit.

On a mid-December winter’s day, while walking his two beloved dogs, he went missing and has not been seen since.

Richard was a deeply spiritual person, a generous, thoughtful friend and neighbor. He had a passion for seeking the best possible outcomes for individuals, communities and the planet. Richard was a US Navy veteran. He was an enthusiastic inventor, scholar, teacher and self-taught engineer. An entrepreneur businessman, Richard created RCS Energy Services, a business he successfully managed for 33 years.

May his spirit surround us and may he inspire us all.
