Phillips' medical and final expense

Donation protected
Anthony Phillips passed away on July 25 at around 11:00 pm.  He had just turned 43. While his suffering in this life is done, the financial difficulties for my parents in the aftermath remain. Please know that anything, no matter how great or small helps.

This May, my dad got a call that his son, my step-brother Anthony Phillips age 42, was in critical condition in South Florida. So he left their TN home, headed for what was was probably final goodbyes. Anthony had been diagnosed with end stage liver disease and the prognosis was dire. Pop spent 3 weeks in a motel while Anthony defied the odds and improved enough to be discharged from the hospital only to have nowhere to live. He had been living in a tent prior to his hospitalization.
Pop packed Anthony in his truck and transported him to Decaturville, TN where, thanks to many years spent working in a supply facility for nursing homes, he and my mother received generous donations of home health equipment to aid in taking care of Anthony. My mother is a retired hospice nurse so some of the procedures that Anthony required could be done at home instead of several trips to the hospital each week. With both of my parents retired and still supporting a granddaughter that they have raised, money has been very tight but with  family, church family and faith, they have been doing their best.
Until Tuesday, July 11, when my mother, Mary Phillips was lifeflighted from Parsons,TN to Nashville in Afib.  You see, while taking care of the sick one in her home, my mother has congestive heart failure.  While my dad usually tries to pick up carpentry jobs to supliment their SS and military retirement, now he is in Nashville with my mother, who will have an ablation on Friday July 14 and be released from the hospital on Saturday. She will need rest after returning home and the expenses of just gas money and eating out for my dad to be with her in the hospital have brought them to the brink..
We need help to recover from the expenses of the money my dad was out while in South Florida and now in Nashville. My parents are getting help for Anthony from hospice but there are still many expenses when you have a terminal patient in your home. Any money raised is to pay for items not covered by hospice as Anthony is indigent and household expenses that have fallen behind during this period.
We don't know how long these trials will last but any amount we could raise would help my family breath a little easier during this difficult time.
Thanks for taking time out of your day and if you can send prayers, we'd sure appreciate those!
I'll be updating this page as we go on this journey.
