The "Otto Bear" fund

Donation protected
On December 29th of this year, God called home a sweet little 2 year old boy named Otto Hamblen.  He passed away very suddenly from Cardiomyopathy that nobody knew he had.

As a way of remembering Otto Hamblen's life, a friend of the family ordered 10 teddy bears  from Amazon and is deliverying them to the University of Iowa's Childrens Hospital in Iowa City for the kids who are hospitalized there. The nurses will decide which kid-patients could benefit from receiving a bear the most.

This sparked an idea by many friends and family members on FB that perhaps EVERY kid in that Iowa Children's Hospital could use a bear! There are about 100 kids at that hospital on any given day.  The GUND Teddy Bear shown here is going to be called the "Otto Bear" in honor of Otto Hamblen's short yet wonderful life here on earth.

These funds will be used to purchase more Gund Bears from this Amazon site by Otto's family members, and the bears will be delivered to the hospital in Iowa City.  You will recieve confirmation of your shipment, and delivery of the bear to the hospital.

Hopefully by Friday we will have more information on the possibility of having more bears delivered directly to other childrens hospitals also.

Each bear, with gift wrapping and tax comes to just under $16.95.  We figured we need about 90 more bears, so we are hoping to raise another $1,525.50 or about $1550 (give or take some tax differences).

Thank you and God Bless you for your generosity and willingness to honor Otto Hamblens life by making another kids day a little brighter.
