The Olive Fund

I want to express my deepfelt gratitude to all people who have donated and shared my little baby girls story. As many know . . . our fight ended last week Wednesday the 26th of July, 2017. I have adjusted the Fund down, now that I know the total, after adding up all the bills and continue to ask for financial help in paying off these bills. Olive was worth it to try and save, but I like to think, that she is getting her ears rubbed sitting on my dad's lap, who passed away in 2015. I find my room void of the life it used to have, the joy that life brought, being a place of refuge with listening ears, antics to cheer me up, comfort in hard times and an open diary to write memories of . . . when someone's story closes too soon, weaving all those days together into a picture, the last thing you can hold of them still. For anyone new and interested in the beginning of the story you can start below and follow the updates. Again I thank you to all those who have left behind their kindness in our story. God bless you and thank you for blessing me. Madion without Olive.

The beginning of the story, July 3rd, 2017:

Thank you to all who read Olive's Story. It was after a big 'January in Chicago' snow I heard a "mew" in the Monday morning cold. Looking around there she was in an alley with her paw caught in a metal mesh and a frozen tail pleading for help. Olive must have been six months old and has been a faithful companion since for twelve years now. A unique personality, behind that Picasso brush-painted nose, ever protective and watchful of me. When playing 'Chase Me' she would come darting out hopping sideways on all fours. Olive has been there for all my hardships filling in a lonely room and gave up hunting mice to become editor-in-cat for my writings. Toward the end of June 2017 her demeanor and mannerisms had changed and she was not the same, we could tell. After going to the MedVet and eliminating the regular tests the next step is neurologoical diagnostic testing. The suspicion is that she has Intracranial Neoplasia or a brain tumor. She is in need of a CT Scan or MRI to determine the next steps to take, which at this time I cannot say the direction, outside of a biopsy and surgery if the determination from the tests point that way. She may have also had a minor stroke episode is the other suspicion. Only further tests can give a better picture for a course of action. Since yesterday, when I heard the upsetting outcome, I began to picture the sunset as a silhouette with a tail. I want to picture the sunrise as whiskers is my prayer.
I am new to this means of funding a personal cause and my figure is a ballpark one. If anyone has had experience in costs please help us to get a better idea of what we can expect. My daughter, as she has affectionately become to me, and I are seeking financial help to cover these costs--and after, gratefully thankful to anyone who wishes to help Olive have a chance to live longer by grace. This is Olive's Story.
