This Old Man is 50!

DISCLAIMER - this is a SECRET; please don't mention this collective gift to Ian! Lo and behold - the man is nearly 50 (12/12/69 dude!)!! As many of you know, buying our house and living in the mountains has been one of our biggest joys - and biggest challenges of our lives. The 2017 slide took most of our focus and our cash, and bundled it neatly into a bow, along with our work on the second slide in 2018 - not exactly what anyone wants for a milestone birthday gift ("Dirt, again?!"). However, we've learned a lot from the challenges we've encountered and instead of having a huge party, or lots of gifts - one of Ian's bucket list dreams is: he really wants to go on a trip to Nepal. And yes, on a motorcycle. Since there's no way one person has budget for it, I figured why not all put our community birthday gifts together (5, 10?), to see if we can help him get there! We're working towards saving up for it, but if you're even thinking of buying him a latte for his birthday - don't! Just put the five bucks here instead! His goal is to create memories for his birthday rather than stuff. One of Ian's favorite things is riding bikes (with motors). The other is travel. The other is good friends. My hope is we can all give him a little birthday cash to go towards something great and fun and he'll make a memory of a lifetime.
