What is the CyberBox Project?
The people in Nicaragua live under very
challenging conditions and circumstances, with very limited access to the learning resources and tools necessary to thrive in today's information age. Consequently, their youth and society are suffering and getting further and further behind.
The CyberBox Project is a collaborative effort involving several charities and ministries along with a group of volunteers from upstate New York to construct the initial CyberBox as a model for others to follow, to bring technology and learning resources to Nicaraguan rural communities.

The CyberBox is a self-powered learning lab. The structure itself will be made from a repurposed shipping container, and it will integrate a solar system for renewable power.
Inside the CyberBox will be several computer learning stations as well as a book library with tables for student reading and activities.
Local Nicaraguan Community Volunteers will be trained on how to use the CyberBox, and as well on how to deliver curricula to various age groups.
Your donations will be used to fund learning materials and computers, as well as the actual shipping container, furniture and solar system. Additionally, the funds will cover the travel and housing expenses of the project volunteers.
The CyberBox construction is planned for next April, when the group of volunteers will make the trip to Nicaragua.
Once completed successfully, this will be the model used to build other CyberBox projects throughout Nicaraguan rural communities.
How Much Do We Need?
For the project to get a green light, we need to raise $20,000 by the end of November 2017.

The CyberBox Project is an idea introduced by a couple of ambitious young men from Nejapa, Nicaragua, Scotty and Davey Parajon.
