The Moore Angels Empowerment Center

The Moore Angels Empowerment Center is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 2014 on a dream that no child should be left behind.  The Moore Angels Empowerment Center is more than just a foundation is it a legacy that started back in 1923 when the namesake of the foundation was born.  Hattie Lee Moore was and is a legacy that was passed down from generation to generation empowering so many children and families with commitment, responsibility, hope and support.  Throughout her life she has raise over 4 generations in her household and countless generations in other families.  At 93 years old and the matriarch of not only the family but the community she  empowered so many through her passion and commitment to transforming lives.

The Moore Angels Empowerment Center’s mission is to empower legacy builders.  Our foundation is design to mentor and empower elementary school through college aged youth and young adults in the Greater Dallas Ft. worth area.  The foundation will establish partnerships with the local school districts, Colleges and the juvenile detention systems.  The Moore Angels Empowerment Center will nurture youth through mentoring, tutoring, afterschool programs, community outreach, college readiness programs, as well as food and nutrition assistance.

The mission of The Moore Angels Empowerment Center is the pursuit of the following principles:

Commitment: To inspire pro-social friendships, strong interpersonal skills, and instill a sense of hope in the future.

Responsibility: To empower youth in establishing goals and following through on commitments.

Possibility: To expand the perspective of young people to make them aware of all life has to offer.

Support: In surrounding young people with a caring, uplifting and inclusive mentoring environment; an individual is dramatically influenced by their support system.

The Moore Angels Empowerment Center will be comprised of six distinct programs:

Disciples: Disciples is the central program of The Moore Angels Empowerment Center for middle school, high school and Young Adults which evaluates and outline the path of each youth.
Transformers: Transformers focuses on students who are chronically suspended from middle school and high school. Partnering with the local school districts to target and reach out to students whose attendance has impacted their education.  The Moore Angels Empowerment Center will monitor the problem with the peer and strategically develop a program to success.
Mamertines: Mamertines engages youth involved in the juvenile court system.  Mentoring during visits in incarceration as well as provide a step stool once released through G.E.D Programs, Job training, and one on one mentorship.
Scholars: Scholars will consist of assistance in all aspect of education from back to school, tutoring and afterschool programming, as well as college readiness.
Overcomers: Overcomers will work hand and hand with the Mamertines and the Transformers targeting and mentoring youth involved in substance either personally or within the child’s house whole.
Bread Breakers: Bread Breakers would work with children and youth ages 9-16 in elementary, middle and high school assisting families in nutrition, and targeting and assisting families who are in need of food assistance.

As you can see, there are many expenses incurred in developing the youth’s future from school supplies, to food and clothing assistance.  Our goal within the next year to 2 years is to make a presence in the community assisting families that otherwise have no means for their children through mobile contact.   The Moore Angels Empowerment Center wants to empower families in coping with everyday trials that seem to affect the family's overall well-being. Over the next couple of years we want to establish a local foundation as the central location for any type of assistance. That’s where your assistance in donations can help feed one more family. Your assistance can help cloth another family.  Your assistance can help another child start school with the tools necessary to excel.  Your assistance can help provide water to communities who don’t have these resources.  We ask for any donation big our small to empower a family another day.  Donations are accepted via Go fund me. With your help we can establish true legacy in our community that will not only foster success in the community but success in the world.
