The MJD lOVe Scholarship Fund
In loving memory of Michael Joseph DiStefano, son of Orchard View Alternative HS principal Laura DiStefano, an annual scholarship fund has been created. This scholarship combines Laura’s two loves together- the love of her son who tragically passed away, and the love of her “kids” at Orchard View.
This June, two graduating seniors from Orchard View AHS will be selected to receive $500 each towards their pursuit of college and/or career. It is our hope to continue this scholarship year after year, so any funds more than the initial $1000 goal for this year will fund the scholarship next year.
The chosen graduating seniors will surpass the expectations of a resilient Orchard View AHS student: take care of yourself, take care of others, and take care of our home.
We would greatly appreciate your donation as we establish the MJD lOVe Scholarship Fund! In Michael's memory, along with the love and support of our Wappingers CSD community, we can help better the lives of two of our students as they pursue their goals after graduation!
