The Madalo Family's Funeral Expense

Husband, brother, cousin, uncle, and father of three. The night of independence day was the night that our lives were flipped upside down as we lost my beloved cousin, Maher. The day prior to his passing, he felt weak in his chest with a headache. He was taken to the emergency room where he was cared for in a minimal amount of time before he was discharged and sent home. His children were told not to worry as his situation was described as “hypertension” and “just a headache.” As fireworks were exploding in the sky outside, his wife and oldest son witnessed his final moments.  At approximately 3AM, paramedics arrived and pronounced him dead. Maher and his family moved to Michigan a month ago to be with the rest of his family, because he did not have any relatives in Nebraska. He worked hard and put his family before himself, and raised his kids to do the same. The Chaldean community appreciated his hard work as a painter. He left behind his dear wife and three boys, Merron (8), Yousif (5), and Matthew (3).
