The little pirate's progress


This is the little pirate, post-surgery, 2014. His 3rd heart surgery to date. In addition to his cardiac defects, this brave little guy also has autism and some other issues. 
In the past few years we’ve had an overwhelming amount of personal setbacks, and now we are in a place we never expected...we need help. We have a lot of out of pocket expenses related to Patrick’s issues...everything from durable medical goods to a daily total of 100 miles to take him to a new special school. Our business has hit a lot of snags and we no longer have anything in the bank. We are in desperate need of emergency funds, or we will be out in the cold in a matter of weeks. It’s really cold where we live. I don’t know what to offer as rewards or gifts for anyone who helps (want something? Ask!) other than knowing you helped one brave little pirate stay in his own bed and eat a few warm meals.

Update: many sincere thanks to the kind people who have donated. It’s been one step forward, two back. Our car just failed it’s state inspection and we can’t afford the necessary repairs. Or tires. The little pirate’s special school and doctors are 25+ miles from home - each way. The one parent we have left has been put into a facility 400 miles away because of her dementia and we can’t even visit. I received a rather severe concussion in December and am still awaiting more testing to resolve whether the meningiomas spotted in the CT scan might be cancer. It goes on and on.
I’m not good at begging, but I’m afraid of what happens if we don’t find our way out of this. If you can, your help would be so very appreciated right now.
