The Linden Project
Donation protected
The Linden Project was established in 2018 by Jeremy and Julie Ludwig with the goal of bringing high-quality, engaging and accessible performances of classical song (also known as art song) to new audiences in Hamilton.
Our Work So Far
Our first season was a great success. Our first concert was entitled "The Song Sampler" and featured a wide selection of songs from different parts of the art song canon. The second concert, "The Seasons", led the audience through a journey from summer to spring, and was followed by a garden party in the courtyard outside the venue where we enjoyed some refreshments and the beautiful spring weather. We had good attendance numbers at both concerts and the feedback from our audiences was overwhelmingly positive.
Our current season recently opened with a cabaret concert entitled "The Last Lousy Moments of Love" at the Staircase Theatre cafe.
Our Organization
We have recently recruited a small board of directors and are in the process of officially incorporating as a not-for-profit and applying for charitable status. We are actively applying to local and regional government arts granting organizations and soliciting support from local businesses. We are on a great trajectory and we're excited to become a unique stable part of Hamilton's arts scene.
Help Us Get There
We see ourselves in a transitional phase between grass-roots startup and stable arts organization. We have poured many hours in to this work and we're excited to continue bringing engaging, memorable concerts to new audiences.
In order to be able to continue to do this, we need your help! Ticket sales can only cover a portion of our production costs so we're raising funds to contribute to artist's fees this season. All funds raised through this campaign will go towards paying the singers and pianists a fair fee for their hard work.
