Help Support Sleepy Hollow Cemetery Historic Fund

Want to join us in making a difference? We're raising money to benefit Sleepy Hollow Cemetery Historic Fund, and your donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us!

The Sleepy Hollow Cemetery Historic Fund preserves and maintains monuments, buildings and edifices at the Cemetery that are of historic, cultural and architectural significance.

To help support The Sleepy Hollow Cemetery Historic Fund, we are asking for a donation of just $5 per view of our video of our adaptation of Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. This adaptation was performed as a fundraising event for four of Colorado's most historic cemeteries and we would like to extend the fundraising effort to include the cemetery that inspired Washington Irving to create the tale of New England's legendary Headless Horseman.

Historic cemeteries require a lot of funding to help with their upkeep, especially as the years go by. Over time, there are often no longer descendants to help keep up with the graves and the other necessities of running a cemetery and fundraisers such as this continue to ensure that our historic cemeteries are cared for and can be enjoyed and researched by future generations.

This video was recorded on September 17, 2022 at Fairmount cemetery in Denver, Colorado. Is the headless Hessian a figment of the mind, or does this specter haunt the Sleepy Hollow cemetery? Our story begins at the home of Baltus Van Tassel, where you are invited to a lovely harvest party held in honor of his beautiful daughter Katrina.

As the party moves through the shadowy grounds of the cemetery, you may meet Brom Bones vying for the hand of the lovely and wealthy Katrina or by chance, you may make the acquaintance of the lanky school master Ichabod Crane. Along the way, you may see the spirits of the cemetery going about their haunts in a most natural fashion.

Grab your favorite warm beverage, turn the lights down low, and curl up with a cozy blanket as we visit the legendary village of Sleepy Hollow and Washington Irving's creepy tale of love and loss.
