The Ledge Theatre Needs a Space of its Own.

Tax deductible
A year ago, I started a theatre for Diverse voices.

A place where a Systematically Affected artist could perform, learn and thrive.
As an African American Woman, I'm one of the few in the history of theatre owners who have decided to go on this journey.

The Journey is hitting a rocky path.

The Ledge Theatre currently has few spaces to perform in. What we initially hoped to be full performances / educational programming in the space we are now in...which has fallen to hopeful pick up shows whenever their schedule is available (and with much love to them, we are grateful and appreciative of them welcoming us into their theatre when they do have the space).

We have attempted since becoming 501c3 to raise money on different platforms. We are also amazingly grateful to the friends and family who have to give us monies to stay afloat. We are also thankful to Digital Lyft for giving us a one thousand dollar grant for technical supplies.

The Journey to find more significant donations has been rocky.

In my copious newsfeed today, a woman got on this platform and raised 40 thousand dollars under the auspicious of her husband being murdered. In turn, She used this money to fund *The suspected killer of her husband *

I asked myself this morning why.
Why will people give a woman tens of thousands of dollars without knowing they are legitimate?
And why the company I wish to raise money to uplift diverse voices is on the rocky road of its journey?

The Ledge Theatre would like to obtain a permanent home in Los Angeles for performances, classes and community outreach.

We are asking for as much as Jennifer Faith.

Our organization is 501c3 and tax-deductible and listed here on Gofundme

Like Ketanji Jackson Brown, I ask to give this African American Theatre owner a chance to prove herself with her years of experience and knowledge of running a theatre organization.

Put the Ledge Theatre back on the smooth path of this Journey.

Whatever you give to make a theatre space occur would be wonderful, joyous and greatly appreciated.
