The whole idea started by sending some lanterns to Puerto Rico to my family.  My nephew told me he had to give one of his lanterns to this elderly lady he saw outside on her porch at night without any lights or candles, completely in the dark and he felt sorry for her and took one over to her. She was so thankful that she thanked him every day.  Then I saw a post of my cousin's kid studying in the dark with a lantern and a head light and I said to myself I should do something about this, this is hurting me so much...I'm going to challenge my friends by offering to purchase some lanterns to help the people of Puerto Rico and see if they will join me with that challenge and my goodness it has worked.

We have sent to Puerto Rico so far 509 lanterns.  


My Friend asked me to open a Gofundme page so that people we could share and get the Lantern Project out to the rest of the world for more people to participate.  I've been getting all the contributions through PayPal and Venmo and Amazon so far.

This Lantern Project will make it a little easier on the people that do not have electricity, water, etc. as it has been almost a month now...and some will not have electricity until mid 2018. That is not fair. God Bless you for being part of The Lantern Project. Let’s bring some Light into their homes and Hope in to their Hearts.


Together we can help! $19.99 buys 4 Lanterns with batteries included. $17.05 covers the shipping charges to ship them USPS Priority. We pack 9 lanterns in a Large box. We'll add a label with your family name to each lantern, so that people can thank you spiritually and a letter letting them know that we all care and giving them some encouragement and hope for the future.
