To understand my friend's story completely we have to go back to last year. You see my friend has known tragedy and survived more than one person should ever have to endure.

Last year, in June, she suffered a horrible auto accident. She lives out from the nearest town about 25 miles. She was taking the backroads to town. It was quicker and safer, so she thought. On this back road, a drunk driver run a stop sign and hit Kit's truck in the passenger's side. He hit her truck so hard that it flipped it over to its side. Her little dog was hanging on the window enjoying the fresh air and beautiful day when the wreck happened. Unfortunately, her furbaby was killing instantly. Kit was pinned in the truck and had to be cut out. She had tremendous injuries from this wreck. She was in the hospital almost a month. Her left arm was crushed, her hip had to be replaced, and also her entire left leg. We didn't know if she would make a full recovery or not but she is a strong woman and she made a full recovery.

Just as we thought she was getting her life back together, everything changed in one horrible moment. On the night of December 7, Kit's cabin was set on fire. She had been stalked for several months by a man she had refused numerous times. It was reported he was seen walking down the street carrying s omething in his hand. A few minutes later, KIt's cabin was up in flames. Kit's cabin had a loft area where she slept. She said she heard crashing glass and that is what woke her up. When she looked over the rail there was no way out. She grabbed her small dog and when through the second story window to escape the flames. She landed out back of the blazing cabin. The neighbors arrived first and heard Kit's screams for help. One of the men ran around back and pick her up and leaned her up against a tree. All she could do, all anyone could do was stand and watch her cabin burn to the ground. Kit was taken to the hospital. She had landed on her left side, the upper thigh bone in her left was showing through her skin. She had to have extensive surgery on it and also had to have repairs done on the the other rods and screws in her leg from the wreck. She suffered several broken ribs and also fracture a fusion in her back. She is having surgery to repair the fusion as I write this.

Kit is a wonderful person and to know her is to love her. The fire destroyed everything she owned. The only thing she has left is the clothes she had on her back when she went through that window. She has no home to call her own when she get out of the hospital. She needs everything from clothes, to living expenses, to household goods, everything. Just imagine if you lost everything in a fire, what would you need? Kit needs it.

We have since learned from the fire that the man who sit the fire, had been stalking Kit for months. This man, if that is what you want to call him, is a monster. He destroyed my best friend's life. He took everything away from her. She needs help desperately. All her family keepsakes, all her personal items gone, everything she treasured is gone. Most of all the memories of the good times we shared in her home is gone.

She is still in the hospital went she will get out we don't know. She has been through so much and deserves so much more than she has received. We would like to give her a fresh start. To help rebuild her home, to replace the items she lost, some of them can't be replaced we know that, but give her hope that her future will once again be bright.

Please help us give a wonderful and beautiful Lady a new beginning which she is well deserving of.

The costs are astronomical. I don't really know how to place a value on the amount needed. How do you figure the house of someone's home and everything they lost. It will take thousands of dollars and we don't have that. We have gave and done what we can but this is bigger than all of us.  The expenses and the funds are needed as soon as possible. When she is released from the hospital, I have put together the money to rent a house till we can figure out what to do next. Funding will begin with providing her a place to live, which means they are needed as soon as possible.
