The Keeley Family

On 10th July 2021, the Keeley family suffered an unimaginable tragedy, sadly losing the life of a much loved family member in a horrific house fire. Scott was a dearly loved father to his two children and devoted poppy to his two granddaughters. The family have lost their home and all their belongings which perished in the inferno.

The extended family would especially like to thank the first responders, local fire crews from Baan Baa, Turrawan and Narrabri RFS Brigades, neighbours and the local communities who together have helped and been impacted by this tragedy.

Life for Scott has been up and down over the years, but he adored his life in the country and only wanted for the simple things and providing for his family. A butcher by trade, he was enjoying his casual role working with a local butcher in Narrabri for a period of time. Family needs growing he recently was excited to gain permanent work with a local freight company. Scott had a big heart and would often put others before himself, he was a devoted family man who adored his children, grandchildren, parents, siblings and their families. He fancied a few coldies at the local at times and hanging with mates exchanging stories of their adventures on the land.

My name is Kim Keeley (sister-in-law) and have established this Go Fund me in response to the outpouring from local communities, work colleagues and others as a way to help Scott’s family restart building their lives in the wake of such tragedy. All donations will be administered to the children and go towards funeral expenses and basic essentials, especially his son who lived with Scott and has lost everything to find a home, furnishings and future essentials needed for their families.

Our sincere appreciation and thank you to all friends and community members who have donated food, clothing and temporary accommodation and who continue to provide tremendous support in the days and weeks ahead.
