Recently, we have been helping some of our Kamzang Kids and Himalayan villagers with serious medical issues - and really could use your help. We all understand how scary and challenging having a medical issue is during these past two years, and imagine the expenses of having to helicopter or travel to the capital city of Kathmandu for medical help. It's simply not possible for the majority of Nepalis to get any medical help with little to no income, and very expensive medical costs here in Kathmandu.
Sonam Chhutin, one of our Kamzang Kids living and studying in the Khumbu, has undiagnosed pain through the left side of her body, and (ashe explains) pain in her heart, and we need to get her to Kathmandu urgently. Dr Kami from Khunde Hospital has recommended tests to be done in Kathmandu. Our good friend Dolma Choekyi, a selfless nurse from Karang School in remote Upper Dolpo, has brought a young woman just diagnosed with epilepsy to Kathmandu. Tsewang Dolma Gurung has spent a challenging life in Dolpo having seizures, falling down, and just lost her child about 6 months into a pregnancy, as well as her front teeth. Dolma Choekyi has brought her to the dentist, specialists and other doctors and her medical bills are very, very expensive. We've promised to help with these and other medical cases, and know we can count on our many friends worldwide to contribute! Thank you so much!
It's been a tough year and a half for everyone in the world, and The Kamzang Fund more than ever could use your help. The Kamzang Fund sponsors some very special Himalayan children to make sure they get an education. We also provide medical aid for villagers in remote Himalayan regions and help Himalayan nomads, whose lives are always extremely precarious. Our trekkers, cyclists, and friends have been incredibly generous over the past two decades, providing sponsorship to over 35 children, and assistance to many Himalayan villagers and nomads.

100% of your donations go to the Kamzang Fund, the Kamzang Kids, and our Kamzang Fund Projects. If you would like to donate to the Kamzang Fund in general, we put our general pool of funds towards children who have extra needs during their education (including medical assistance, clothes, or housing), villagers that we meet during our travels who require medical assistance, Himalayan nomads or any other of our Kamzang Fund projects.
