Joshua Casillas is like any other 7 year old boy, but on May 15th, 2018 he suffered an accident which drastically changed his life. He was a victim of a hit and run accident. This occurred right in front of his elementary school while he was walking home with his grandfather, cousins, and brother.He was rushed to the hospital immediately, but the damages were too severe and unfortunately his leg had to be amputated from the knee down. This tragedy has taken a toll on his family not only emotionally, but financially as well. Their 2 parent income household has been turned into one, since only one parent is able to work while the other has to stay by Joshua's side throughout his recovery.
This fundraiser is to help alleviate some of that financial stress from the family and to help Joshua get his prosthetic leg which average at about $5,000 +. Joshua has managed to maintain a positive attitude and smile through adversity, it is our hope that you open up your heart to this family and this sweet young boy. Joshua Casillas es como cualquier otro niño de 7 años, pero el 15 de mayo de 2018 sufrió un accidente que cambió drásticamente su vida. Fue víctima de un accidente de atropello y fuga. Esto ocurrió justo en frente de su escuela primaria mientras caminaba hacia su casa con su abuelo, primos, y hermano. El fue llevado al hospital de inmediato, pero los daños eran demasiado graves y por desgracia su pierna tuvo que ser amputada desde la rodilla hacia abajo. Esta tragedia ha sido difícil para su familia no solo emocionalmente sino también financieramente. Su hogar con ingresos de 2 padres se han convertido en uno solo, ya que solo uno de los padres puede trabajar mientras que el otro tiene que permanecer al lado de Joshua durante toda su recuperación.
