the hospital has placed DNR I need help with cost

On Sunday 18th July 2021 krissy age 33 took a cardiac arrest while making a cup of tea in his Mam’s house due to the amount of time it took the paramedics to do CPR and resuscitate him so they could take him to North Tees Hospital Krissy suffered brain damage. After 2 days the doctors said krissy would not survive and wanted us as a family to turn all machines off and that he would only live a few days after having 5 cardiac arrests, pneumonia 6 times, catching COVID whilst in intensive care, sepsis, a blood clot on his right lung, a collapsed left lung and pseudomonas aeruginosa in his lungs krissy fought the odds and got though all of these to live another day. North Tees have now put a DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) on krissy and are refusing to take it off, as a family we think this is the wrong decision and are fighting to have it removed. We need to apply to the court of protection in order to challenge the doctors decision and to remove it, the doctors have said krissy would not suvive more than 2 days off the ventilator, it’s now nearly 16 months. He’s fought from day one and is continuing to fight to survive against the odds, we have spoken with a solicitor and been told the cost would start at £1550 to start the proceeding to fight for Krissy’s life. Krissy is a beautiful lad with a caring heart, it is heartbreaking to see Krissy’s life in the balance when we know how much he can fight this and he has shown how much of a fighter he is!!

Krissy’s Mam has gave me permission to try help so I thought it would be a good way for anyone who would like to help towards this needed cause, I know how heartbreaking it is to loose a child so please can everyone help Krissy and his family.
