The Crown Heights Friendly Fridge is a community initiative that helps local residents gain access to fresh healthy food on a daily basis. A dedicated team of volunteers stocks the fridge each day with fruits, vegetables, dairy, grains, and other groceries, all of which are available to anyone in need. We believe that communities thrive when neighbors support each other. Your contribution to the Friendly Fridge helps with the following: 

-Keeping the fridge powered and running so everything stays fresh. 
-Covering the costs of special food giveaways (see below for pics and info from our December giveaway!)
-Providing art materials to local artists who make the fridge a vibrant spot in Crown Heights



On December 19th, Friendly Fridge teammates distributed 150 complete food packages including turkeys/hams and side dishes to neighbors in Crown Heights. The Fridge has become a bright spot for neighbors helping neighbors. We look forward to planning more food giveaways in the new year!
