The Heart of Elsa

Donation protected
Hey y’all, My name is Elsa or Ellie, good girl, L, sweet girl really you can call me anything! In October of 2018 I was suddenly surrendered to a high kill shelter, Cobb Co. I was very scared and overwhelmed, the nice people at the shelter  were very kind with me but it was still a scary place. They noticed that I had had many litters in my short 3 years and that my belly was strangely swollen. They reached out to rescues near and far.  A rescue in a distant land  called Canada offered to help me (Niagara Dog Rescue) A nice man who saw my photos and knew my story, even offered to pay for all of my vet visits and donated more money to the rescue on my behalf! No one could believe how generous, I don't know what a dollar is but I guess he donated over 2000 of them. The vet said  I had end stage congestive heart failure and they whispered to me that hey have to find me a palliative foster home...what's that? I have no idea.
I found out quickly after arriving that that meant I hit the jack pot. I have fur siblings, human siblings, a super wicked mom and dog and a yard of my own. I eat this AMAZING diet that seems to go right into my system and makes me feel like a million bucks, I couldn't be happier I want to live every day as if it's my last!

This is the story we want Elsa to know, and feel and thrive on, since we want as much good energy to be sent her way to keep her thriving as long as possible regardless of her diagnosis.  She should never know the pain or suffering again. She gets to live every day comfortable, happy and full of love, since that's what she brought into our little family not 2 months ago.

However there's a downside I had not accounted for.  Having worked along side the shelter and rescue to pull, vet, and transport E I knew her diagnosis, I knew she would need medication for heart for the remainder of her life and that as her forever foster mom I would have some expenses to make her comfortable. I didn't realize that the moment she arrived in my home the funds that were pledged to Elsa that I personally collected for the rescue towards her, would disappear.  Now this amazing beautiful soul is with me and my family. Doing well because of her diet, exercise and compassion we have given her, but she has no idea of the financial burden it has put on me and my family. I hadn't realized that if a dog had an expiry date the support I would have could just disappear.  I'm seeking help in the way of dollars, something I have never ever wanted to do or have done before in my life. Elsa's bills at a minimum are $360 a month for just her meds.  Our family is willing to and realizes we are now solely responsible for this girl as our hearts give us no other choice, but we are hoping that you can find it in you to donate a small amount to help offset the costs it will be to keep her happy, and blessed to be comfortable in a home, and not dying in pain on shelter floor.  She doesn't know her days are numbered, and we have no idea what the number of days will be either. Any and all donations of any size are  greatly appreciated.

My mom told me if there are any of those dollars left when I'm gone what ever that means, she will donate back to rescue. You have to know this is true because who else would open their heart only to have it broken way too soon!?!

Love Ellie
