Help Bring My Floral Vision to Life at the Chelsea Flower Show!
Hello, I’m Denise Jones and am a passionate floral artist, and I’m thrilled to have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to exhibit at the world-renowned Chelsea Flower Show!
I am raising funds to cover the essential expenses required to bring my large-scale floral installation to life. My exhibit is deeply inspired by nature and the power of flowers for well-being. To truly do justice to my vision, I need sufficient funds to create a breathtaking, immersive display that showcases the profound connection between nature, flowers, and mental health.
This opportunity means everything to me.
I have worked incredibly hard throughout my floristry career to reach this moment, and at almost 57, this may be my last chance to exhibit at Chelsea. My floral work has always been about more than just arranging flowers—it’s about connecting with nature, being in the moment, and experiencing the joy and therapeutic benefits of working with flowers.
Through my floral well-being workshops, I help people of all ages and abilities experience the mood-boosting and calming effects of flowers and plants. As someone with ADHD and long-term anxiety, I know firsthand how powerful creative expression through nature can be. My exhibit at Chelsea is not just about beauty—it’s about raising awareness of how working with flowers and being in natural landscapes can support mental health. I want to challenge outdated perceptions of floristry and show that floral design is for everyone, not just a traditional or elite practice.
My goal is to create an eye-catching, immersive exhibit that sparks conversation, inspires others, and highlights the connection between nature and well-being.
How Will the Funds Be Used?
Exhibiting at Chelsea is a huge undertaking, and every contribution will go directly towards making this vision a reality. Funds will help cover:
- Structural elements – Creating an ambitious, large-scale floral installation requires strong mechanics and materials to bring the design to life.
- Travel & Transport – As I live in Weymouth, I need to fund van hire, fuel, London vehicle charges, and transport for my materials and flowers.
- Accommodation – I need to stay in London for nine days to set up and exhibit my work.
- Flower Costs – Flowers are the heart of my exhibit, and I want to source the best materials. I also plan to mock up my design beforehand to ensure everything works smoothly, reducing stress on staging days.
- Sundries & Supplies – Every floral project requires various tools, sundries, and last-minute essentials to perfect the final look.
Any support—big or small—will make a huge difference in helping me bring this dream to life and share the powerful message of flowers and nature for well-being.
