The Gritti IVF fund for an ALS free future

Donation protected
Ally has been no stranger to the devastation that ALS can cause.  On December 11th, 2019 her mother Mary lost her battle to this tragic disease.  Ally’s mom had the familial genetic trait of the disease; meaning that it is a hereditary condition that can be passed on from generation to generation.  The same genetic trait that caused the passing of 2 of Ally’s uncles,  her mom, her grandmother and a great aunt.

Knowing the trait runs so strong in her genetics, Ally and Ryan made the decision to get genetic testing done before starting a family of their own.  There was a 50/50 chance that Ally was a carrier of the gene, and if she has it that means she could very well pass it on to her future generations.  In  serendipitous fashion Ally received her results on the 1 year anniversary of her mothers passing; and she has the gene for C9ORF72.

Being a believer in science Ally and Ryan have decided to do In Vitro Fertilization and get their embryos genetically tested to prevent this horrible disease from passing on to their children.  This is a costly endeavor so I am writing this Go Fund Me to help offset the expansive cost of IVF and to help give their children and their children’s children a future that is free from ALS ❤️
