The Greg Miller Family

My dear friend Geneva and her husband Greg have been married for almost 28 years. They have a 15 year old son, Matthew, and a 12 year old daughter, Marli. God has blessed this family in so many ways. Their family was formed through the miraculous gift of international adoption. Matthew came home almost 15 years ago from the Philippines at the age of 16 months, and Marli came home from Vietnam 12 years ago at the age of 15 months.
Greg and Geneva have been dealt a blow this past week that no one could have anticipated. Greg had not been feeling well for a couple of weeks; he was tired and had a horrible cough. At first, they chalked it up to pneumonia, and he became very hoarse and lost his voice quickly. Greg finally agreed to chest x-rays which revealed not only pneumonia, but two large masses in his left lung. One of the masses is called a subcarinal mass; it starts to form around the trachea then eventually spreads into the bronchi. Greg was referred to a pulmonologist who ordered a CT scan. The pulmonologist called with the results within an hour, and it was confirmed that Greg has lung cancer, which has already spread to his lymph nodes, both lungs, and his liver. The masses are large, and they are growing rapidly. Greg is scheduled for a biopsy on Tuesday, October 2.
 Greg and Geneva have never been ones to ask for help, but they need your prayers and assistance. Greg, who is self employed,  has no health insurance or life insurance, and Geneva is unable to work at this time due to a fall that injured her back and hip 1.5 years ago. 
Matthew and Marli love their daddy dearly. Geneva, of course, longs for her husband and best friend to feel better. Please pray that God will provide healing for Greg, peace for their family, and the financial means to help them with upcoming medical and household expenses.
