The Grayhound Group Scholarship Fund was birthed from a dream and vision that regardless of finances, The Grayhounds will: 1) NEVER let an athlete miss a Training session 2) NEVER deny an athlete, parent or guardian a platform to share feelings and emotions as it relates to the struggles with ones Mental Health or “The New Normal” as we now call it and 3) ALWAYS teach the value of being present in mind, aware of body/behaviors/actions and the consequences of choices.  In addition, this Fund will provide a small monitory token to all those selected as The Grayhounds Athletes of The Month in recognition to the hard work, dedication and commitment to self.  “No Feeling Left Behind!”  (Ray Gray)

Ray is the Owner/CEO of the ‘Grayhound Group' LLC., host of "Tiny Chair Talks" (www.theprojectrefresh.org), Drug and Substance Abuse Instructor (Peer Mediation/Clean Teens), Motivational Speaker, Mental Health Professional/Coach (trained in: Conflict Resolution, Trauma, Positive Parenting, Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy... to name a few), Assistant Director/Board Member at Charlotte Juniors Volleyball (CJV) supporting in the role of parent/player relations. Despite all this, Ray still finds time to work a full time job, spend time with wife and kids and train athletes of all disciplines teaching the connection between brain, body and behavior, Mindfulness (awareness of breath, body, feelings, emotions and/or stress; thought regulation) and respecting those feelings as real while digging deep to find a solution or a way to overcome whatever the obstacles (Mental Toughness).
