The Goddess Sittings

The Goddess Sittings is a self actualized painting project to celebrate and immortalize the energy of the divine feminine. Powerful, raw and unapologetic.
I see this project not just as an artist creating her work, but as method of healing ourselves thru the power of creating and holding space for each other, as women, as beings.
The paintings i am creating are 6ft x 7ft oils on canvas. So far i have worked with 10 Goddess Sitters across the globe, and i have another 8 lined up for 2020, with more coming forward to be part of this movement every day.
There are also future plans for a book of The Goddess Sittings which will include high quality images of the paintings, accompanied by the stories of these incredible, powerful, inspirational, everyday Goddesses.
The first year of this project has been self funded through money made from selling my art work, and using my savings, but to be able to keep this work going i now require some help.
The £5,000 that i am asking for is for these first 10 paintings to be completed, stretched onto frames to be able to exhibit them, and to restock my painting materials and canvas ready for round 2 in 2020.
Each painting costs around £400 in materials to make,
(this doesn't include all of the other things like my time, paying for food, travelling to each Goddess Sitting, and the hours of prep work that go into each painting)
Any support would mean the world to me and to The Goddess Sitters who have been so boldly part of this work.
I love what i do, and i fully realize the power i have as an artist with the work i choose to put out into the world. This work isn't about me, it is about us as a collective, as a tribe, standing up and celebrating each other for being here, to lift each other up and celebrate the divine light of creation in each and every one of us.
