The Gloria Hauge Memorial Fund

On September 28th I set up the Gloria Hauge Memorial Fund with the help of my daughter. Mom raised 7 children. Our sister (her daughter) passed away from metastatic breast cancer 6 years ago. Our mother already had many health problems and several hospitalizations, especially these last few years. In December 1999 she suffered a brain aneurysm that should have killed her, but she miraculously survived. We were so blessed to have her for almost another 19 years. But recently her health took a nosedive that was so difficult it would be hard for her to come back from it. Like her daughter, she was diagnosed with beast cancer and it had already spread to many other parts of her body. The doctors said surgery would be too risky because of her age. So we had no choice but to take her home to die with the help of hospice care. We didn't want her to suffer anymore so we quietly accepted that her life here with us was over. 

Early morning October 1st our sweet dear mother passed away, being rejoined with her daughter into eternal rest.  We buried her Monday October 7th. She was a woman of God who loved her Jesus and she raised us kids well with the obstacles she had to face every day when she became a single parent. God gave her 82 years and for that we are forever grateful. 

Mom didn't have life insurance, so much of her burial costs were not covered. We had a burial plot for her because of the love of her brother, but we were coming up short for the rest of her funeral costs. We wanted to give her the funeral she deserved so anything you donate is so appreciated by us . We are still presently working on giving her a decent headstone. Her granddaughter, whom she helped raise from birth to 16 years, wanted an angel on her headstone, but we may not be able to give her that with her final assessed costs. Money was pooled together to help pay for her funeral costs with what we had. So I set up this Memorial Fund to help with the final expenses. You are all loved, be blessed!
