The Gift of Chess Launches Elderly Outreach

The Gift of Chess distributes chess sets and technology, leveraging the power of chess to create community, expand opportunity and connection, and ultimately change lives.

Last summer, we provided 10,000 NYC students with their own chess set during the height of the pandemic.

After a successful start in NYC's schools, the Gift of Chess has now expanded to include four separate initiatives - youth education and global, elderly, and prison outreach.

Chess can help the elderly combat social isolation and loneliness, mitigate the effects of cognitive decline and dementia, and even prevent Alzheimer’s disease. Every dollar raised will go directly towards the purchase of chess sets for senior citizens, along with providing access to the Gift of Chess global community.

As a recognized 501(c)(3) charitable organization, all donations made to The Gift of Chess through our partnership with GoFundMe Charities will be tax-deductible.
